The European business community salutes the achievements of Helmut Kohl for our European Union

Commenting on the European Ceremony of Honour for Dr Helmut Kohl on 1 July 2017, BusinessEurope President Emma Marcegaglia said:

“The European business community honours the European legacy of Dr Helmut Kohl, the Honorary Citizen of Europe. Without Dr Kohl, Europe could not have achieved the important steps forward in integration of the 1990s. It took courage and the deep conviction of Helmut Kohl to overcome national reflexes by putting Europe at the forefront of his political goals. We, the European business community, have deep respect and gratitude for these achievements.”
