Trade defence instruments

Market liberalisation needs to be paralleled with a system of rules that efficiently address anti-competitive practices like dumping or subsidies, re-establishing a level playing field for all businesses. Sound competition is important to promote and support innovation, investment and business development. For BusinessEurope, the EU needs to have reliable and effective trade defence instruments in full respect of WTO rules in order to fight unfair trading practices by third countries.
