European Alliance for CSR - How to get involved
Back to European Alliance for CSR
If you are interested and a company based in the EU, you can express your support of the Alliance via BusinessEurope member federations in the EU country where your headquarters are established. National federations will keep you informed of developments and opportunities in relation to the Alliance and ensure liaison with the European level. They may also communicate your interests when it comes to participating in certain activities or developing specific initiatives.
What is expected if you become involved?
Companies involved in the Alliance are expected to provide, on a regular basis, information on their CSR activities and on contributions to the Alliance for EU high-level meetings.
What activities can you focus on?
Companies involved determine for themselves their contribution to the Alliance and the activities they wish to engage in.
One key activity, already well developed is a set of laboratories in which companies and their stakeholders discuss and exchange experience on key CSR issues and challenges, as well as developing joint projects and solutions. The topics below are not exhaustive and companies and stakeholders are free to suggest other initiatives.
BusinessEurope laboratory
As part of its engagement in the CSR Alliance, BusinessEurope leads a laboratory on "Stimulating an entrepreneurial mindset and promoting entrepreneurship education". It addresses the CSR Alliance priority areas of "fostering innovation and entrepreneurship" and "cultivating a more favourable attitude towards entrepreneurship".
Fostering a more entrepreneurial mindset in society as well as encouraging the development of entrepreneurial attitudes and skills in people of all ages can greatly contribute to the strategic goals of growth, employment creation, innovation and competitiveness. A wide range of initiatives and programmes are developed in Europe to introduce young people to the key competence of entrepreneurship at different levels of education. The BusinessEurope laboratory works at supporting and disseminating innovative practices through a wider mobilisation of the business community. Visit our dedicated page.
Other Alliance partners facilitate a series of laboratories on other themes.
