What will the Energy Union look like?

The European Energy Union has the potential to address the various energy challenges in a comprehensive and holistic manner, Markus J. Beyrer said at an open debate organised by Eurogas and Gasterra. For doing so, it is imperative that European decision-makers pay sufficient attention to cost-competitiveness challenges of EU’s energy and climate policy. To become a success story, the Energy Union needs to address things such as creation of an internal energy market, improved physical network, strengthened coordination among Member States, and a regulatory environment that enhances competitiveness.
