Restrictions on economic freedoms is not the way forward

During the closing session of the European Forum for New Ideas, a declaration prepared by Lewiatan – BusinessEurope's Polish member federation – was handed out to Donald Tusk, President of the European Council. In his address, BusinessEurope's Director General Markus J. Beyrer said: 'Nationalism and restrictions on economic freedoms is not the way forward. To reduce inequalities and tackle radicalism, we need European answers to common challenges. We must re-build Europe’s industry and improve its competitiveness, further develop the single market, create the Energy Union, implement an ambitious international trade policy and devise common solutions to the current asylum crisis.' - Photos
