New culture of innovation and less risk-averse attitude in Europe

A more balanced approach to risk should be a priority for the new European Commission, BusinessEurope President Emma Marcegaglia told Commissioner Carlos Moedas. Together with BusinessEurope Director General Markus J. Beyrer they discussed key issues for industry, including innovation-friendly policy framework, new scientific advice mechanism, as well as participation of industry in EU research framework programmes. To shape a more positive and progressive innovation policy, we need to incorporate the innovation principle as an integral component of the policy-making process.
