EU-Russia: business views
The political and economic relations between EU and Russia are facing a difficult and challenging period. At a high-level event organised by the Hans Seidel Foundation, BusinessEurope Director General Markus J. Beyrer restated that European business was not operating in a vacuum. Although impacted by the negative economic consequences of the crisis, it would continue to stand behind the decisions of the European institutions while the situation on the ground remained problematic. Business would nevertheless welcome ways of easing the conflict and exploring a political solution through dialogue between all parties concerned.
