Beyrer meets European Ombudsman

BusinessEurope Director General Markus J. Beyrer met the European Ombudsman, Emily O’Reilly, who explained the strategic orientation of her work since her election by the European Parliament last summer. It is her firm intention to reach out to business to help companies in their daily dealings with the European institutions. As 82% of her (non-binding) recommendations are followed by the institutions, her work can be valuable to companies facing problems of public maladministration.
