Robin Biersma — Senior Adviser

Robin Biersma is a Senior Strategic Policy Advisor at VNO-NCW, currently seconded to BusinessEurope where she is responsible for coordinating the organisation’s work on defence industry policy, security frameworks, and Europe’s industrial resilience. With a background spanning the Dutch defence industry, NATO-related industrial policy and international trade relations, she advises senior leadership on geopolitical developments, economic security, export controls and strategic dependencies. She has been a spokesperson on defence and international trade issues and has collaborated extensively with European and transatlantic partners. In addition to her policy expertise, Robin serves as a Reserve Officer in the Royal Netherlands Army, engaging with civil and military actors in the Netherlands and mission areas. She is known for her enthusiasm, integrity and strong drive to strengthen Europe’s security and strategic autonomy.
