Key messages
- The proposed occupational limit value of 20 μg Co/m3 for the inhalable fraction and 4.2 μg Co/m3 for the respirable fraction for cobalt and its inorganic cobalt compounds should not be lowered to 10 μg Co/m3 after the transition period of six years due to very significant feasibility
issues. - Due to the lack of substantial benefit on workers’ health and the expected high implementation costs on employers, there should be no introduction of an occupation exposure limit for isoprene within the context of CMRD6.
- A general transition period of six years should be introduced for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (Benzo(A)Pyrene), extending the derogation for nine specific sectors to all industries.
