European social partners call on the Council and Parliament to endorse the provisional agreement on the revision of the EU Regulations on social security coordination

Following up on our joint statement of 23 March 2026, we welcome the provisional agreement that was reached on 22 April 2026 in the trilogue negotiations for the revision of Regulations 883/2004 and 987/2009 on the coordination of social security systems.

We now call on the Council and European Parliament to endorse this deal, which will bring much needed clarity and a simplified approach for workers and employers exercising freedom of movement in compliance with social security coordination rules.
