Strengthening European competitiveness: The Maltese perspective

Our President Fredrik Persson joined a delegation of the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry – MCCEI, to engage in high-level discussions with Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela, other government ministers and company representatives.

The discussions focused on key business priorities, such as strengthening the EU Single Market, and the importance of a competitive business environment in achieving Europe’s ambitions. Persson also participated in MCCEI’s Annual General Meeting, where he highlighted the resilience of Europe’s industrial backbone amid growing global challenges. Malta and MCCEI play a vital role in shaping European policies that empower, rather than hinder, businesses.

Engaging with politicians and business leaders across Europe, including in Malta, is essential to ensuring that the right policies are in place to drive investment, innovation, and EU’s prosperity.
