Strengthening EU-Cambodia economic ties

Our Director General Markus J. Beyrer met with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Sok Chenda Sophea to explore new ways to deepen EU-Cambodia trade and investment ties. The EU, Cambodia’s fourth largest trading partner, works closely with the country, notably under the EU-ASEAN Cooperation Agreement. Through the Global Gateway initiative, the EU supports projects in Cambodia that expand access to clean water, promote sustainable energy, and foster agri-business development.
