Stepping up EU simplification efforts in the field of social affairs

Social policy

BusinessEurope calls for an urgent shift of EU social policy towards a stronger focus on competitiveness. A key part of this is for the Commission to beef up its approach to simplification of the relevant EU social legislation. At this point it is unclear whether the Commission’s Quality Jobs Act will truly deliver on the simplification agenda. This event will provide an opportunity to discuss simplification priorities in the social domain directly with Executive Vice-President Mînzatu.
