A wake-up call for Europe to rethink its industrial strategy

"Strong actions by EU’s main competitors to promote industrial policy objectives should be a wake-up call for Europe to rethink its own industrial strategy. We must do things better and look at competitiveness in all its dimensions", BusinessEurope Director General Markus J. Beyrer told ministers and state secretaries at the Competitiveness Council today. "Although there are diverging views on industrial policy, the conclusion cannot be to do nothing.
