EU Omnibus proposal: First step, what's next for business?

More than 60% of EU companies cite disproportionate and complex regulation as an obstacle to investment, with 55% of SMEs identifying regulatory obstacles and administrative burdens as their biggest challenge. Enrico Letta and Mario Draghi highlighted the need to cut red tape and simplify EU law among the top priorities for the new EU legislative cycle.

The European Commission has started taking steps to address these concerns. To contribute to this crucial debate, BusinessEurope, together with MEP Axel Voss, is hosting a special event to assess the first Omnibus proposal and explore the next steps in the regulatory burden reduction agenda.
