Christian is BusinessEurope’s Senior Policy Adviser for advocacy management.  He contributes to our political analysis of global, European and national issues.  His main expertise is in helping colleagues and members in their advocacy towards the European institutions.  Christian’s special focus is also on the European Parliament. Furthermore, Christian is responsible for general political, advocacy and lobbying advice, including the European Transparency Initiative. Prior to that, he gained extensive public affairs experience with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, a European law firm. He has also worked in the German Bundestag, the United Nations, the US Mission to the EU and EU consultants. Christian has a political science background with a Master in European and international relations as well as a Master in European politics and administration from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.   His mother tongue is German and he speaks English and French. Recent lecturing and presentation experience includes European politics, public affairs and lobbying.
