BusinessEurope’s SME Roadshow. Second stop Rome. Green and digital transition: are SMEs there yet?

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the lifeline of Europe’s economy. They create jobs and wealth in Europe where most of their business is carried out. However, in the last years SMEs have gone through multiple challenges due to Covid restrictions, disruptions in supply chains, high energy costs and various kinds of obstacles when operating on the European Single Market.

To address SME issues and find solutions together with stakeholders, BusinessEurope is organising its second "SME Roadshow" in Rome, Italy on 4 October 2023, together with the Confederation of Italian Industry – Confindustria.

The event, both in Rome and online, will gather key representatives from European and national institutions, SMEs and entrepreneurs from across Europe for a debate on the opportunities and challenges of the twin green and digital transition, an unavoidable path, not without obstacles, in an increasingly onerous regulatory framework and a constantly changing geopolitical scenario.
